Lorenz Kienzle (born June 6, 1988 in Schaffhausen ) is a Swiss ice hockey player who has been under contract with HC Davos in the Swiss National League since July 2019 .

Career

Lorenz Kienzle began his career as a youth ice hockey player at EHC Schaffhausen . He moved to the farm team of the GCK Lions before his debut in the first team of the ZSC Lions was in the 2008-09 season. Before the 2010/11 season he moved to HC Lugano and scored 8 goals and 47 assists in 282 games by 2016. For the 2016/17 season he moved to Friborg-Gottéron within the NLA . He has been under contract with HC Ambrì-Piotta since 2018 .

In July 2019, Kienzle moved to HC Davos in exchange for Julian Payr .

International

For Switzerland, Kienzle took part in the 2005 Youth Olympics and Division I U18 Junior World Championships 2006 . The first squad for the senior national team followed in 2014, when Kienzle played all three games at the 2014 Deutschland Cup .
