Perttu Lindgren (born August 26, 1987 in Tampere ) is a Finnish ice hockey player who has been under contract with HC Davos in the Swiss National League since summer 2013 .
Career
Perttu Lindgren began his career as a hockey player in his hometown in the youth department of Ilves Tampere , for whose professional team he made his debut in the SM-liiga in the 2004/05 season , where he came to two inserts. He was then selected in the NHL Entry Draft 2005 in the third round as the 75th player by the Dallas Stars , but initially stayed with his hometown club Ilves Tampere, for whom he scored a total of 13 goals and 24 in 55 games in the 2005/06 season Originals scored. As the best rookie in the league, he received the Jarmo Wasama Memorial Trophy at the end of the season . The left shooter was also able to convince in the following season and scored 32 scorer points for Ilves in a total of 50 games, eight of which were goals. From 2005 to 2007 he was also on the ice in a total of five games for the Finnish U20 national team in the second-rate Mestis .
In the summer of 2007, Lindgren was ordered to North America by the Dallas Stars and ran in the 2007/08 season for their farm team Iowa Stars in the American Hockey League . For the following year he was awarded to the SM-liiga participant Lukko Rauma from his Finnish homeland, with whom he only achieved relegation before he returned to North America for the 2008/09 season . During this season he scored 64 scorer points in a total of 98 games for Dallas' new AHL farm team Texas Stars , including 21 goals. With the Texas Stars he reached the Calder Cup final in the AHL playoffs by defeating the Hershey Bears 2: 4 in the best-of-seven series. In the same season he completed his only assignment for the Dallas Stars in the National Hockey League .
For the 2010/11 season he signed another contract with Lukko Rauma. In the main round he scored 23 goals and 43 assists in 56 games for Lukko. With 66 scorer points he was top scorer of the entire SM-liiga, for which he received the Veli-Pekka-Ketola trophy . He was also the best assists in the league and led his team to fourth place after the main round. In October 2010 he was also named SM liiga player of the month.
From May 2012 Lindgren was at Atlant Mytishchi from the Continental Hockey League under contract, but moved to Amur KHL in November of the same year within the KHL .
After only one season in the KHL, Lindgren moved to the Swiss National League A for HC Davos .
International
For Finland, Lindgren took part in the junior division of the U18 World Junior Championships in 2005 and the U20 World Junior Championships in 2006 and 2007 . In the senior sector he was in his country's squad for the Euro Hockey Tour in 2011, 2012 and 2016 .
