Grégory Sciaroni (born April 7, 1989 in Bellinzona ) is a Swiss ice hockey player who has been under contract with SC Bern in the National League since 2018 .

Career

Sciaroni made his debut in the 2006/07 season for his home club HC Ambrì-Piotta in the National League A (NLA). In 2009 he moved to Graubünden to HC Davos , where he also became a national player. With the HCD he won the championship title in 2011 and 2015, and in December 2011 he contributed to winning the Spengler Cup . With Davos he also played in the Champions Hockey League .

Following the 2017/18 season, he turned his back on Davos, where he was remembered as a player with fighting spirit but also through injuries, and moved to SC Bern .

National team

In the U18 division, Sciaroni played for Switzerland at the 2007 World Cup in the top division . With the Swiss U20 team , he initially took part in the top division world championships in 2007 and 2008 . After relegation, he won gold in Division I at the 2009 World Cup , which was held in Herisau , Switzerland , so that he was immediately promoted again. He himself was named the best striker of the tournament and, together with the Belarusian Ihar Rewenka, also scored the second-most goals after his compatriot Sjarhej Drosd .

After his games in the junior division, he was also appointed to the men's national team, but has not yet played in a major tournament.
