Yanik Burren (born January 28, 1997 in Bern ) is a Swiss ice hockey player who has been part of the first team of SC Bern in the National League since the 2017/18 season .
Career
Burren began his ice hockey career in the youngsters of the EHC Bern 96 , before he switched to the youngsters of the SC Bern in the 2009/10 season, where he subsequently went through all young talent categories and with the SC Bern, among other things, the championship of the elite novices, as well as won the Elite A championship in the same year and 2016. In addition, he came a junior league lower on some missions for the U20 juniors of the EHC Thun . In the 2015/16 season , the first appearance in the Fanion team in the National League A followed . However, he could not establish himself in the top division of Switzerland, instead he played most of the time in the NLB for EHC Visp during the 2016/17 season to gain match practice there. In the 2017/18 season , however, he became an important core member of the Bernese team and subsequently made regular appearances in the highest league in Switzerland.
International
Burren has played regularly for the Swiss national team since the U16s . He also played the U18 World Cup in 2014 and the U20 World Cup in 2017. He also took part in the Ivan Hlinka Memorial Tournament 2014 .
