The Thun Castle , which is located directly next to the home ground, used to be seen in the logo of the EHC Thun . Today you can see the head of " Fulehung " in the logo . This is based on the former court jester who has cult status in the city of Thun . One of the greatest successes in the entire history of the club was the two-time promotion to the National League B in 1966 and 1972. In the 2015/16 season, the EHC Thun 1st League Central Switzerland champions.

EHC Thun has been playing in the MySports League, founded in 2017, since the 2017/18 season . In the first two seasons, the EHC Thun reached the playoffs, but failed both times in the quarter-finals.

In 2014, EHC Thun qualified for the re-introduced Swiss Ice Hockey Cup . In the sixteenth final, EHC Thun received SC Bern in the sold-out KEB Grabengut. After three years without participating in the Cup, EHC Thun was back in the 2017/18 season. Against the EHC Olten from the Swiss League they were also eliminated in the sixteenth finals. EHC Thun has qualified again for the 2020/21 season.

offspring

In the new generation, the EHC Thun works with the EHC Höfen, the HC Mühlethurnen, the SC Freimettigen and the EHC WIKI-Münsingen . HC Dragon Thun promotes youth work and gives children and young people from the region the opportunity to play ice hockey. The HC Dragon Thun provides teams in popular and competitive sports. The Dragons also work closely with the SC Bern Future and give ambitious talents the chance to play in the top divisions.

Venue

The EHC Thun plays its games on the Grabengut artificial ice rink . The stadium is covered and can accommodate 2,500 people. EHC Thun has been campaigning for the renovation of the stadium for years. Since the grave is open to the outside, the first phase of the season always takes place at high temperatures. The heat prevents good ice quality and has been a problem for the Thun ice sports clubs for years. The Grabengut is located in the middle of the city of Thun , just below Thun Castle . The ice rink offers two ice rinks every year from mid-September to mid-March.
