^ Swiss League |
The MySports League is the third highest ice hockey league in Switzerland after the National League and the Swiss League . It is also the highest amateur league.
history
On January 15, 2016, the delegates of the young and amateur sport of Swiss Ice Hockey decided to implement the “Super Regio League” project. The new league was to become the first national amateur league in Switzerland. Since many 1st division clubs could not imagine a national game operation, the idea was discussed controversially. The future participants in the “Swiss Regio League”, as the project was henceforth called, were required to meet requirements in the areas of order and security, infrastructure and young talent. From all applicants, the four best athletic candidates of the three groups (Western Switzerland, Central Switzerland, Eastern Switzerland) received their doctorate for the 2017/18 premiere season. The newly founded TV channel MySports was the name sponsor for the new league . From the 2017/18 season onwards, he had also secured the TV rights for the National League and the Swiss League.
