The HC Sierre ( German  HC Siders ) is a Swiss ice hockey club from Sierre that has been playing in the second-rate Swiss League since the 2019/20 season .

history

The association was founded in 1933 and rose in the seasons 1967/68 , 1984/85 and 1989/90 in the National League A in.

The highlight of the club's history is the Swiss runner-up title in 1973.

After the last promotion to the NLA, the free fall followed to the first division , the highest amateur division in Switzerland. For the 1997-98 season, however, the rehabilitation followed in the National League B .

Between 2003 and 2011 the association had the addition of Anniviers to its name due to a cooperation with the regional tourism organization.

The club went bankrupt in March 2013, withdrew from the NLB after the 2013/14 season and has since operated exclusively amateur and junior hockey.

In the 2014/15 season, he was promoted to the 2nd division. Only one season later they rose to the first division . For the 2017/18 season they were promoted to the MySports League . In the 2018/19 season , HC Sierre was promoted to the second-rate Swiss League as champions of the MySports League .
