The EVZ Academy is a Swiss ice hockey club from Zug . The ECC Academy is the farm team of the EV train and occurs since the season 2016/17 in the Swiss League on. The club name is derived from the Zug youth program “The Hockey Academy”. The EVZ Academy plays its home games in the Zug training hall (Academy Arena) and occasionally in the Bossard Arena and the ice rink in Sursee.

In 2017 the team missed the playoffs. In 2018, these were already achieved in the second season of league membership.

For the 2018/19 season Jason O'Leary was hired as head coach, who led SC Langenthal to the Swiss League title in 2017 . He replaced Stefan Hedlund , who switched to the trainer staff of EV Zug. For the 2019/20 season, O'Leary moved as head coach to the Iserlohn Roosters in the German Ice Hockey League . The Swede Roger Hansson took over for him .
