The EHC Bülach is an ice hockey team from the city of Bulach in Switzerland , which since 2017 third in the newly formed league, the MySports League , compete.

history

At the beginning the EHC Bülach played in a nearby forest. Later they moved to the Hirslen sports center. The EHC Bülach operates a strong youth work in cooperation with the Kloten Flyers . Some well-known players come from the youth division of EHC Bülach, z. B. Reto Pavoni , Kloten legend Felix Hollenstein or Severin Blindenbacher .

Between 1986 and 1996 there was also a women's team at the EHC, which, as the highlight of its history , won the Swiss championship title in 1991/92 . In 1996 the team moved to EHC Illnau-Effretikon after the board had demanded a special fee of 500 francs from each club member.

In the 2009/10 season, the team failed in the quarter-finals at EHC Winterthur . In the 2011/12 season they advanced to the playoff final, where they again failed at EHC Winterthur with 2: 3 wins.

In the 2016/17 season, the team trained by Martin Höhener reached the playoff semi-finals and qualified third in the main round for the new third division, the MySports League .

Venue

The club's home games are played in the Hirslen sports center, which today (2011) can accommodate up to 3,100 spectators. The audience record at home games of EHC Bülach is 3,400, which was set up in a game against the ZSC Lions .
