The 1999/2000 season in performance class A was the eleventh edition of the top division in Swiss women's ice hockey and also the 14th Swiss championship. The title won for the first time in the club's history of the DSC St. Gallen , which competed as the only team without foreigners and was initially considered a relegation candidate. With the support of two strong goalkeepers, Katja Tiefenthaler and Patricia Sautter , the team, headed by the later national coach Michael Fischer, won the championship title on the penultimate match day.

The promoted DHC Langenthal got back into the performance class B from.
