The 2013/2014 season in performance class A was the 25th edition of the top division in Swiss women's ice hockey and at the same time the 28th Swiss championship. The HC Lugano women's team won the title for the fifth time in the club's history .

mode

The game mode of performance class A provides for a qualification consisting of round-trip rounds as well as play-offs ( best of five ) and play-outs. The round trip consists of 10 games per team. Before the second half of the season, the points collected are halved. After qualification, the teams in ranks 1-4 play for the Swiss championship title in the play-offs, while the teams in fifth and sixth place in a best-of-five series determine the participant in the relegation against the winner of the LKB .

Class A games are scored according to the three-point rule : three points are awarded for a win after regular time, two points for a win after overtime or a penalty shoot-out, one point for a defeat after overtime or a penalty shoot-out and one point for a defeat regular playing time zero points.

Attendees

The DHC Langenthal relegated to the LKB in the preseason and was replaced by the LKB master SC Weinfelden .
