The 2006/2007 season of the Performance Class A was the 18th staging of the top division in the Swiss woman Hockey and also the 21 Swiss championship. The HC Lugano women's team won the title for the second time in the club's history , defending its title from the previous year.

mode

The game mode provides for a joint qualifying round, split intermediate rounds as well as play-offs (best-of-three) and play-outs. The qualifying round consists of a round trip with a total of 12 games per team. The teams in ranks 1-4 and 5-7 then play the intermediate round separately, with half of the points taken. Each team completes a single round with a return game in the intermediate round. The teams in the play-off group then play in the play-offs for the Swiss championship title, while the team in seventh place in the play-outs plays against the three best LKB teams for promotion and relegation (play-outs ).

After the introduction of overtime according to the two-point rule before the last season, performance class A now changes to the three-point rule : three points are awarded for a win after regular time, two points for a win after overtime or a penalty shootout . one point for a defeat after overtime or penalty shoot-out and zero points for a defeat after regular time.

Attendees

Due to the withdrawal of the DHC Lyss and the EHC Illnau-Effretikon after the preseason, the EV Bomo Thun was subsequently included in performance class A.
