Ruth Künzle (* 29. March 1972 in Waldkirch SG ) is a former Swiss Hockey national player who for the EV train and HC Lugano in the performance class A was active. In total, she won seven Swiss championship titles and took part in a large number of tournaments with the Swiss national team. She made a total of 214 international matches for Switzerland.

Career

Ruth Künzle played (at least) between 1995 and 2004 for the women's team of EV Zug and won three Swiss championships (1998, 1999 and 2004). She then moved to HC Lugano and won four more championship titles with the HCL Ladies Team before ending her career in 2010.

In 1990 she made her debut for the Swiss senior national team at the age of 18 and took part in four European, two B and four A world championships in the following years. The high point of her career was the 2006 Winter Olympics in Turin.

In 2007 she resigned from the national team after 214 international matches.
