The 11th Ice Hockey World Championships for women of the International Ice Hockey Federation IIHF were the ice hockey world championships of 2007 . Between March 3 and April 10, 2007, a total of 33 national teams took part in the five tournaments of the top division and divisions I to IV.

The world champions became Canada for the ninth time , defeating the United States 5-1 in the final . The German team reached eighth place. The Switzerland was able to secure fifth place after the rise in the last World Cup. The team from Austria reached fourth place in Division II.

In 2007 the IIHF evaluated the chances of and the demand for a world championship for U18 juniors in which they organized U18 invitation tournaments. As the council decided to hold a U18 World Cup in 2008 after positive experience , these tournaments were considered qualifying tournaments for the U18 World Junior Championship in 2008.
