The Dutch national ice hockey team for women is the national ice hockey team of the Netherlands in women's ice hockey . In January 2011 the team is in 23rd place in the IIHF world rankings .

history

The Belgian national ice hockey team for women took part in four of the five women's European championships between 1989 and 1996 , but could not achieve any successes worth mentioning and therefore stayed out of the European Championship in 1993 . After their return to the EM game operations, the Dutch women entered the second level, the B-EM.

At the 1999 World Cup , the Dutch women's national team made their debut in the B-WM, but immediately relegated twice in a row, so that the team competed in the fourth level of qualification for Division II at the 2001 World Cup . In this, the Dutch asserted themselves right away and played in Division II for the next six years, with the team relegated at the 2009 World Cup and thus competing in Division III at the 2011 World Cup .

In the 2010/11 and 2011/12 seasons , the national team took part in the Elite Women's Hockey League .
