The North Korean national ice hockey team of the women 's national ice hockey national team of North Korea . She is in the current IIHF world rankings from 2010 on the 21st place and plays at the 2011 World Cup in the so-called C-World Championship (officially: Division II).
history
The North Korean women's national ice hockey team was founded in 1999 and has been participating in international competitions since the World Cup in the same year . In their first World Cup participation, the team from North Korea withdrew from the Asian qualification against Kazakhstan . A year later , the team prevailed in the qualification as group first and was accepted into the second-rate Division I. This was held for three years before the Asians had to compete for the first time in the third-class Division II for the 2005 World Cup . At this and the following two World Championships, the promotion could not be achieved, so that North Korea will also be represented in Division II at the 2011 World Cup.
