Ice hockey at the Asian Winter Games
Hockey has been the I. Winter Asian Games in 1986 an integral part of the Asian Winter Games , and only since 1996 and Ms. Hockey is represented in the program of the Games.
While previously only teams represented at the World Championships competed at the Asian Games, this platform has been increasingly used for international debut appearances since 1999 . In 1999, the Mongolian national ice hockey team played at the Asian Games, but it was not until 2007 that they took part in the world championships.
The teams of Kuwait (first participation in the Asian Games 1999), Thailand (2003), Malaysia , Macaos (the latter took part in the ice hockey tournaments of the Asian Games for the first time in 2007) have so far not participated in the World Cup. Hong Kong made their debut at the 2007 Asian Games, but had already participated in the D-Group of the World Cup for the first time in 1987 . The UAE launch of its Asian Games debut in 2007 for the first time in the World Cup 2010 in Division III.
