The Bahraini national ice hockey team represents the country of Bahrain in ice hockey at international competitions.

history

The Bahraini national ice hockey team, like numerous other national teams from Asia, made their debut in an official competition as part of the Winter Asian Games . On January 28, 2011, Bahrain met the Malaysian national team in the weaker Premier Division of the 2011 Asian Winter Games and clearly lost 0:25. The other five games were also clearly lost, leaving Bahrain without a point and finishing last with a goal difference of 11: 138.

The team's only international match previously was a friendly against Kuwait , which they lost on January 8, 2010 3:10.

In 2012 they took part in the golf ice hockey championship . After five defeats in five games, they finished last.

In 2014 and 2016, the team took part in the Desert Cup in Doha , Qatar , a tournament for club and national teams. There have been no test games for the team since 2016. The team canceled participation in the 2017 Asian Winter Games at short notice after the Bahraini National Olympic Committee refused to cover the costs.
