The Thai ice hockey team of men is part of the Thai Ice Hockey Federation ( Ice Hockey Association of Thailand ). The current coach is Krisada Kasemsunt .
history
The national team of Thailand played an official international match for the first time as part of the Winter Asian Games on February 2, 2003, which they lost 0:39 against hosts Japan . The second official tournament in which Thailand took part was the 2007 Asian Games. During this tournament the national team lost 1:52 to Kazakhstan , which is the biggest defeat in the history of Thailand. In 2008 and 2009, Thailand took part in the IIHF Challenge Cup of Asia . After the team finished fourth in 2008, they reached the final in 2009, in which they lost 3-5 to the hosting national selection of the United Arab Emirates . Also in 2010, 2011 and 2012 they won medals.
In 2019 , Thailand took part in the IIHF World Championships for the first time.
