List of IIHF members
The international ice hockey federation International Ice Hockey Federation ( English International Ice Hockey Federation , IIHF) currently has 81 members. The following list of IIHF members includes all 56 full members, 24 associated members and one affiliated association.

Former members
In 1911, the Oxford Canadians Club from Oxford , Great Britain , which consisted of Canadian students, was incorporated into what was then the LIHG. He partly appeared as a representative of Canada and took part as a guest at the European Championships and the LIHG Championship . It was dissolved in 1920.
Russia was admitted in 1911, but membership expired in the 1920s after the establishment of the Soviet Union . The Soviet Union was admitted in 1952, and in 1992 its membership rights were transferred to the Russian Association. The membership of Bohemia passed to Czechoslovakia in 1920 . This in turn was taken over by the Czech Republic in 1992.
In 1933, the Newfoundland Association , the Newfoundland Hockey Association, joined the IIHF. He was expelled from the IIHF in 1936 because of inactivity.
In 1956 the ice and roller hockey section of the German Sports Committee of the German Democratic Republic joined the IIHF. In 1958 membership was transferred to the GDR's German Ice Skating Association . In January 1990, the German Ice Hockey Association of the GDR was founded, which joined the German Ice Hockey Federation on September 11th.
Yugoslavia became a member of Serbia and Montenegro in 2003 and Serbia in 2006.
Namibia was an affiliate member from 1998 to 2017.
