The North Korean national ice hockey team represents the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (North Korea) at international tournaments. It will be ranked 41st in the IIHF world rankings in 2020 . At the 2015 World Cup , she made it to Division IIB. The team has not yet participated in the Olympic Games , but has been represented in various Asian Winter Games . The team has been coached by former national player Song Chung-song since 2018 .

Winter Asian Games

At the Winter Asian Games in Changchun in 2007 , the team took a respectable fifth place in the ice hockey tournament and only had to admit defeat to the Asian ice hockey "great powers" Japan , Kazakhstan , South Korea and China . The women's national team finished fourth out of five participating teams.
