Kim Kwang-ho (born September 27, 1988 ) is a North Korean ice hockey player .

Career

Kim Kwang-ho first appeared for the North Korean national team at the 2004 World Cup in Division II. In 2005 , 2006 , 2009 and 2016 he played with his team in this division. After relegation in 2009, he joined Division III in 2010 and immediately rose again with the team. Since the North Koreans did not participate in the World Cup the following year for financial reasons, he also played in the lowest division in 2012 , 2013 and 2014 . In all three tournaments, the North Koreans only missed promotion to Division II by one place in second (2012 behind Turkey , 2013 behind South Africa and 2014 behind Bulgaria ). Also in 2015 , when he was the team captain of the North Koreans for the first time, he played with the East Asians back in the lowest division of the World Championships. This time he returned to Division II with a 4-3 win after extra time in the decisive game against hosts Turkey . There he played at the World Championships in 2016 , 2017 and 2018 . At the tournaments in 2015 and 2018 he acted as the team captain of the North Koreans.

At club level, Kim plays for Pyongchol in the North Korean ice hockey league and became North Korean champions with the club in 2004, 2006, 2007, 2010, 2011 and 2014.
