The Yugoslav men's national ice hockey team existed from 1934 to 1992. After the 1992 World Cup , the national team was dissolved and replaced by the national teams of the former republics.

history

The Yugoslav national ice hockey team first took part in an official tournament in 1939 when they reached 13th place at the World Cup . After Yugoslavia provided a team for the B World Cup in 1951 and 1955, it was a regular participant in the competitions of the International Ice Hockey Federation IIHF from 1960 . Best placement at a world championship for Yugoslavia, which was mainly active in B-world championships, was ninth place at the world championship in 1968 . Yugoslavia also took part in the Winter Olympics five times (1964 to 1976 and 1984), with ninth place in 1968 being the best result.
