The Qatari national ice hockey team belongs to the Qatari Ice Hockey Federation .

history

Qatar has been a member of the international association IIHF since May 18, 2012 . The Qatari national ice hockey team first competed in the domestic desert cup in Doha in February 2014. In April 2014, the team took part in the Golf Cup , where they won a game for the first time and finished the tournament in third place out of four teams. The planned participation in the IIHF Challenge Cup of Asia 2015 was canceled. In 2016 Qatar played again in the Golf Cup and finished second. In the same year, the IIHF Challenge Cup of Asia took part for the only time so far . After winning five games, they finished fourth out of five participants in Division I. In 2017, the Qatari national ice hockey team took part in the Winter Asian Games  in Sapporo . After three defeats in three Division II games, they finished penultimate of the 18 participants in the final accounts. In 2018, Qatar registered again for the IIHF Challenge Cup of Asia, but withdrew the report again.
