The IIHF Challenge Cup of Asia in 2013 was the sixth edition of the by the International Ice Hockey Federation IIHF carried out competition . The tournament was held from March 16 to 24, 2013 in the Thai capital Bangkok . The game was played in The Rink Ice Arena of the CentralPlaza Grand Rama IX shopping complex .
The Republic of China (Taiwan) secured the title for the third time , beating Hong Kong 4-2 in the final .

In terms of performance, the groups were composed according to their placements in the previous year . The best five teams of 2012 played in group A. In group B, the two teams played in ranks 6 and 7 last year. Then there were Hong Kong, which took part for the first time since 2011 , as well as Mongolia and Singapore, both of which last took part in 2010 .

The tournament was initially held in two performance groups. With the exception of the last two placed in Group B, the remaining eight teams qualified for the quarter-finals. From the quarter-finals, the teams played the tournament winner in a knockout system.
