IIHF Women's Challenge Cup of Asia 2019

The IIHF Women's Challenge Cup of Asia in 2019 was the ninth edition of the by the International Ice Hockey Federation IIHF carried out competition . For the second time, the participants were divided into two divisions of five teams each. The tournaments were held from April 14-19, 2019 in Abu Dhabi , the capital of the United Arab Emirates . The game was played in the 1,200-seat Abu Dhabi Ice Rink .

As in the previous four years, the strongest Asian nations did not participate, so that only teams from the former Division I took part in the competition. This, however, with a record number of nine nations.

The title was secured for the first time by the selection of Thailand , which took second place three times in a row between 2015 and 2017 . The team laid the foundation stone for the tournament victory on the first day of the tournament, when they defeated the defending U18 team of the Republic of China from the island of Taiwan 3-2. In Division I, the team from the Philippines remained undefeated in all three tournament games and won them.
