Rosau is a district of the municipality of Odenthal in the Rheinisch-Bergisches Kreis . It is located northeast of Eikamp in a side street off Alte Wipperfürther Straße on the border with Kürten .

history

The name Rosau indicates that in the Middle Ages reeds ( ros = reed) stood in a nearby alluvial forest . The place belonged to the district Oberodenthal , hall 10.

Over the years, a closed settlement has developed here until today.

Since 1910, the church has belonged to the Herrenstrunden Rectorate, which became an independent parish in 1918.
