Klauberg was a residential area in Unterodenthal in today's municipality of Odenthal in the Rheinisch-Bergisches Kreis .

Location and description

Klauberg was a village on the elevation of the same name in the Sayn-Wittgenstein forest. The area is now wooded again.

history

In 1527 Klauberg is mentioned as one of the farms that Adam von Hall inherited next to Strauweiler . It belonged to Strauweiler since at least the middle of the 15th century.

Klauberg was later part of the Odenthal mayor's office in the Prussian district of Mülheim am Rhein .

The place is recorded on the topographical survey of the Rhineland from 1824 and on the Prussian first survey of 1840 as Klauberg . From the Prussian new admission in 1892 it is no longer recorded. The place belonged to the Catholic parish Odenthal and the Evangelical parish Altenberg .
