Location of Altehufe in Odenthal

Altehufe is a district of the Odenthal municipality in the Rheinisch-Bergisch district . It is on federal highway 506 .

history

The place had an early mention in the 17th century by Heinrich zu Alterhofen . It was recorded as having nine fascines and 27 stakes . At the end of the 18th century, a so-called spiritual property in Altehove is mentioned. Around 1830 the place had the name Altehufe, which is still in use today . At that time there were three arable estates with 26 inhabitants.

Carl Friedrich von Wiebeking names the court on his charter of the Duchy of Berg in 1789 as Altehof . It shows that Altehufe was part of Oberkirspel in the Odenthal rulership at that time .

Under the French administration between 1806 and 1813, the rule was dissolved and Altehufe was politically assigned to Mairie Odenthal in the canton of Bensberg . In 1816 the Prussians converted the Mairie to the mayor's office in Odenthal in the Mülheim am Rhein district .

The place is recorded on the topographical survey of the Rhineland from 1824 as Alte Hof and on the Prussian first survey from 1840 as Hoven . From the Prussian new recording from 1892 he is on Ordnance Survey regularly as Old hooves or Altehufe recorded.
