Location of Helenenthal in Odenthal

Helenenthal is in Dhünntal Valley situated abode of the municipality Odenthal in the Rheinisch-Bergisch district . The street in the village of Helenenthal was named "In der Aue" on April 15, 1926, and since then the name of the neighboring village of Aue has also been in use for the Helenenthal area . The name Helenental is only used for that part of the valley.

history

Until 1919 there were a few black powder mills in Helenthal and the surrounding area. It was part of the Odenthal mayor's office , which was created in 1816 by the Prussians from the Mairie Odenthal in the Mülheim am Rhein district. The place is recorded on the Prussian new record of 1892 as a powder mill. It is regularly recorded as part of Aue on later measuring table sheets .
