Blecher is a district in Unterodenthal in the municipality of Odenthal in the Rheinisch-Bergisches Kreis with 1923 inhabitants (status: 2010).

history

The Blechergut was a fief of the Odenthal court . Marsilius de Bleghere is documented there for 13 August 1301 .

In the Middle Ages, Blecher was the titular place of the Honschaft Blecher in the parish of Odenthal in the Porz office in the Duchy of Berg . The Topographia Ducatus Montani by Erich Philipp Ploennies , Blatt Amt Miselohe , proves that the residential area was categorized as several courtyards in 1715 and was designated as Blecher . Carl Friedrich von Wiebeking names the court on his charter of the Duchy of Berg in 1789 as Blecher . It shows that Blecher was part of Unterodenthal in the Odenthal rulership at that time .

Under French administration between 1806 and 1813, the rule was dissolved and Blecher was politically assigned to Mairie Odenthal in the canton of Bensberg . In 1816 the Prussians converted the Mairie to the mayor's office in Odenthal in the Mülheim am Rhein district .

The place is regularly recorded as sheet metal on the topographical survey of the Rhineland from 1824, on the Prussian first survey from 1840 and from the Prussian new survey from 1892 on .
