Location of streets in Odenthal

Straßen is a residential area in Unterodenthal in the municipality of Odenthal in the Rheinisch-Bergisches Kreis .

Location and description

Streets is on the mountain road between Holz and Erberich . It now forms a closed settlement area with wood and other localities, so that it is no longer perceived independently. In order to avoid confusion with streets in Oberodenthal , it is also called Streets I in Unterodenthal on maps and in statistics .

history

A tax list from 1586 shows that the villages were part of the Blecher community in the Odenthal parish. Carl Friedrich von Wiebeking names the court on his charter of the Duchy of Berg in 1789 as streets . It shows that at that time, Straßen was part of Unterodenthal in the Odenthal rulership .

Under French administration between 1806 and 1813, the rule was dissolved and Straßen was politically assigned to the Mairie Odenthal in the canton of Bensberg . In 1816 the Prussians converted the Mairie to the mayor's office in Odenthal in the Mülheim am Rhein district .

The place is recorded on the topographical survey of the Rhineland from 1824 and on the Prussian first survey of 1840 as streets . From the Prussian new admission in 1892, it is regularly recorded on measuring table sheets as streets or streets .
