Location of Busch (Odenthal) in Odenthal

Busch is a district in Oberodenthal in the municipality of Odenthal in the Rheinisch-Bergisches Kreis . It is located about 500 m east of Scheuren .

history

The name Busch makes it clear that there used to be a pure fringing of deciduous forest here. The village of Busch originated in the Middle Ages as a fief of the Holz Herrenhof . In the years 1499-1502 was Hans Pyl, owner of Good Busch, 16½ annually Heller to the Abbey Altenberg to pay.

During the War of the Spanish Succession , the Odenthalers also had to make their contributions to national defense. In this context, Busch had to provide nine fascines and 27 stakes .

In the Middle Ages, Busch was part of the Bergische Honschaft Breidbach . The Topographia Ducatus Montani by Erich Philipp Ploennies , Blatt Amt Miselohe , proves that the residential area was categorized as a courtyard in 1715 and was designated as bush . Carl Friedrich von Wiebeking names the court on his charter of the Duchy of Berg in 1789 as Busch . It shows that Busch was part of Oberodenthal in the Odenthal rulership at that time .

Under French administration between 1806 and 1813, the rule was dissolved and Busch was politically assigned to Mairie Odenthal in the canton of Bensberg . In 1816 the Prussians converted the Mairie to the mayor's office in Odenthal in the Mülheim am Rhein district .

The place is recorded on the topographical survey of the Rhineland from 1824 as bushes and on the Prussian first survey of 1840 as bush . From the Prussian new admission in 1892, it is regularly recorded as a bush on measuring table sheets .

Since 1966 the place had a supply pipe for drinking water.
