Funkenhof is a district in Unterodenthal in the municipality of Odenthal in the Rheinisch-Bergisches Kreis . It is located at the confluence of Scherfbachtalstrasse and Gladbacher Strasse.

history

In 1828 the Funkenhof grain mill was mentioned together with the Hollandsmühle , Scharrenberg and Stein mills with a total of 69 residents.

The place is regularly recorded on the topographical survey of the Rhineland from 1824, on the Prussian first survey from 1840 and from the Prussian new survey from 1892 on measuring table sheets as a spark court .

In 1893 and 1894 the St. Pankratius Church in Odenthal was built with stones from the quarry at the Funkenhof. The place belongs to the Catholic parish Odenthal.
