Trienenhaus (also called Trinenhaus ) is a residential area in Oberodenthal in the municipality of Odenthal in the Rheinisch-Bergisches Kreis .

Location and description

Trienenhaus is located on federal highway 506 in the east of the community on the border with Kürten .

etymology

The word Trienenhaus means that it is the house of Triene (= abbreviation for Katharina), which is the pronunciation in standard German . In the dialect one says to Katharina Tring , therefore the place is called Tringenhüsjen in the dialect .

history

The place was part of the municipality of Bechen in the mayor's office of Kürten .

The place is recorded on the topographical survey of the Rhineland from 1824 as Tringenhäuschen and on the Prussian first survey from 1840. From the Prussian new admission in 1892, it is regularly recorded on measuring table sheets as Trienhaus or without a name.

In 1975 the village became part of the Odenthal municipality due to the Cologne Act .
