Friedrich von Restorff
Friedrich Julius Ludwig von Restorff (* 1783 in Billerbeck ; † 1848 in Oels in Lower Silesia ) was a Prussian officer and author of an often quoted book about the Prussian Rhine Province .
Life
Friedrich von Restorff came from the old Mecklenburg noble family von Restorff . In his officer career he was promoted to colonel , he was second in command of the city of Neisse in Upper Silesia .
In 1830 his description of the Rhine Province was published by Nicolai Verlag .
