Kochshof is an old farm on Groß Grimberger Weg in the Hüttchen district of Odenthal . It is listed under no. 60 as a monument in the list of architectural monuments in Odenthal .

history

The Kochshof is a medieval feudal court of the Counts von Berg , which was named Hof Humboldt in the early Middle Ages . It is first mentioned in 1145 as a cooking yard. On September 20, 1303, Count Wilhelm I von Berg bequeathed the court to the Cistercians in Altenberg . For the year 1500, the income register of Altenberg Abbey recorded the following income, which the farm residents had to hand over: 15 Malter oats, 2 Malter barley (Malter is a measure of grain for grain and was between 1.25 and 2.2 hl.), ½ pig, 6 Chickens and 100 eggs. Two marks were to be paid for ¼ wood and 5 Albus for a cart of coal . In 1830, 24 people lived in the cooking yard. After the last lease was given up in 1975, the historic cooking yard owned by the country increasingly fell into disrepair.

From Carl Friedrich von Wiebeering's chart of the Duchy of Berg in 1789, it emerges that Kochshof was part of Oberodenthal in the Odenthal rulership at that time .

Under the French administration between 1806 and 1813, the rule was dissolved. Kochshof was politically assigned to Mairie Odenthal in the canton of Bensberg . In 1816 the Prussians converted the Mairie to the mayor's office in Odenthal in the Mülheim am Rhein district .

The place is recorded on the topographical survey of the Rhineland from 1824 as a cooking yard and on the Prussian first recording from 1840 as a cooking yard . From the Prussian new admission in 1892, it is regularly listed on measuring table sheets as a cooking yard .
