The Evangelical Church in Herchsheim , a district of the Giebelstadt market in the Lower Franconian district of Würzburg in the north-west of Bavaria , is located at Kirchplatz 3. It is a protected monument . The parish Giebelstadt - Herchsheim belongs to the Dean's office of Würzburg .

history

The Reformation was introduced in Giebelstadt and Herchsheim in 1601 . The church was built in 1613. The patrons were the Barons von Zobel .

Architecture and equipment

The hall building with a gable roof and a three- story choir tower in the east is post-Gothic . The choir tower has a French dome . The windows of the church are ogival with tracery.

The altar and the pulpit were created by Georg Brenk (1564–1635). The gallery painting with flowers comes from the middle of the 18th century. The organ was created in 1774 as the work of the organ builder Johann Michael Voit from Schweinfurt. The three bells in the church tower are tuned in the tones f '- g sharp' - a sharp '.
