The Chinese national ice hockey team of women is one of the Chinese Hockey Association Chinese Ice Hockey Association at. It is one of the strongest national teams in Asia .
history
The Chinese national ice hockey team first took part in the 1992 World Cup, which they finished fifth out of eight places. After a total of 16 years in the top division, the team was relegated to Division I at the 2009 World Cup in Finland in ninth and last place. Previously, the country managed to qualify for the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver , which meant that three out of four opportunities could qualify for the Olympic tournament.
At the Asian Winter Games , China is one of the best teams and has won a medal in every edition so far (2 × gold and 2 × bronze). Furthermore, the team won bronze medals at the IIHF Pacific Women's Hockey Championship in 1995 and 1996 .
