The Czechoslovak national ice hockey team for women was the national ice hockey selection team of Czechoslovakia in women's ice hockey .

history

The Czechoslovak women's ice hockey team took in 1989 at the first staging of the Women's European part. The Czechoslovakians finished seventh out of eight teams after defeating the Netherlands 7-1 in the placement game for that very place . At the European Championships in 1991 , Czechoslovakia finished fourth in Group 2 and finally lost 2-1 to the French national team in the placement game for 7th place . This was also the last game that the team played in their history. After the dissolution of Czechoslovakia, its successor states, Slovakia and the Czech Republic , set up their own women's national teams.
