The Norwegian women's ice hockey team was ranked 15th in the IIHF world rankings after the 2007 World Championships . The team, which has been participating in international championships since the first European championship in 1989, has been playing in Division I of the world championship since 2007.

At the 2008 World Cup she was looked after by former national coach George Kingston .
