history

The Slovenian national ice hockey team for women was founded in 2001 and has been participating in international competitions since the World Cup in the same year. Her greatest success so far at a World Cup was the fifth place in Division II at its World Cup premiere. This place was not enough to keep the league and the team had to relegate to Division III, which was newly founded the following year. At the 2005 World Cup , the team was promoted to Division II, at the next World Cup two years later, however, the immediate relegation followed.
