The 1994 team (only this age group was admitted to the Winter Youth Olympic Games) of the juniors won the silver medal at the first Winter Youth Olympic Games in Innsbruck on January 22, 2012 and thus achieved Austria's first medal win in an Olympic ice hockey competition.
