history

At the 2007 World Cup , the team made its debut in Division IV, the fifth World Cup level, and finished sixth and last. In the following year , the Turkish women again took sixth place in Division IV. Since only the first three divisions were played at the 2009 World Cup and there was no ice hockey world championship in the 2010 Olympic year, Turkey played again at the 2011 World Cup for the first time in three years World Cup game. Since they had finished the previous two World Championships in last place in Division IV, the national team entered the newly formed Division V.
