history
The Irish national women's ice hockey team first took part in a World Cup in 2011 . In Division V, the sixth World Cup performance level for women, the Irish faced Bulgaria , Poland , Spain and Turkey . In the course of the tournament, the Irish lost all four games and finished fifth and thus last place in Division V.
