Emimmo Salvi

Emimmo Salvi (actually Domenico Salvi , born January 23, 1926 in Rome , † 1989 ) was an Italian filmmaker.

Life

Salvi appeared in many roles in film production . From 1949 he worked as a production secretary and assistant, from 1954 also as an executive producer (for example on Roberto Rossellini's trip to Italy ), another four years later as a producer and screenwriter. In 1961 he directed it for the first time. In this role he developed a predilection for combining adventurous with mythological subjects; until 1967 (the spaghetti western Wanted Johnny Texas ) he made a handful of films that - although produced cheaply - mostly had exotic locations. He made his last film in 1978. According to the film journalist Christian Keßler , he died in the 1980s; according to Gordon Mitchell , he committed suicide in 1989 after being diagnosed with the disease.
