The Revenge of Ali Baba (original title: Le sette fatiche di Alì Babà ) is an Italian adventure film with fantasy elements , which Emimmo Salvi directed in 1962. The film opened in German-speaking countries on April 19, 1963. He was also offered on video as a hunter of the Saracen treasure.

Ali Baba receives the order from the guardian of the magic mountain Sesam to secure the crown of an Arab ruler, Hassam, and to deliver it to him. But meanwhile evil usurpers under Mustafa have seized power in his empire, whereupon Ali Baba refuses to hand over the crown. He gathers troops in the Valley of the Shadows and goes to negotiate with Mustafa, who has him captured. With the help of Loto, Hassam's daughter, who is actually intended for Mustafa, Ali Baba manages to escape. He takes Loto with him. He can then successfully smuggle his people into the city and, after a number of entanglements, defeat the villains. The residents receive the righteous ruler, and Ali Baba his loto.

criticism

The "simple knitted adventure film" ( Lexicon of international film ) offers "a lot of action and even more sand" (Cinema.de).
