Furio Meniconi

Furio Meniconi (born February 22, 1924 in Rome , † December 12, 1981 there ) was an Italian actor .

Life

Meniconi began his career as a character actor in Italian film in the early 1950s and continued it in almost 100 films until a few years before his death. The tall, sturdy actor with tart facial features and brown, mostly untamed hair was often seen as a friend of the hero, but also as a villain or as a dignitary in the most popular genres. Among other things, he played in his typical rock solid and serious manner in over 30 spaghetti westerns . Sometimes he played under the pseudonym Men Fury .

He belongs to a family of film workers who mostly work in technical staff or production. Including the following: Nello (1911–2002) worked as a producer, his other brother Mario (1912–1984) also worked as an actor. The youngest brother Alfio (* 1924) was employed as a make-up artist and make-up artist. Furio is the father of the film editor Enzo (* 1950) and the uncle of the make-up artists Marcello (* 1950) and Mauro (* 1960).
