The 3rd European Women's Ice Hockey Championship took place from March 24th to 27th, 1993 in Esbjerg , Denmark . The teams in places 1 to 5 qualified for the 3rd women's ice hockey world championship in the following year.
A new B group was introduced with promotion and relegation rules to the A group. The games of group B were played from March 22 to 27, 1993 in Kiev , Ukraine .
