Margit Anna Kristina "Krickan" Bergstrand (born October 4, 1963 in Stockholm ) is a former Swedish national ice hockey player .
Career
At club level, she played for Nacka HK between 1988 and 1998 and was with them in 1988, 1989, 1990, 1991, 1992, 1993, 1994, 1996 and 1998 Swedish champions . She then moved to Mälarhöjden / Bredäng Hockey and won five other championship titles there (1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003).
With 14 championship titles won, she is Sweden's record champion.
International
Kristina Bergstrand represented Sweden at the European Women's Championships in 1989 and 1991. In 1991 she was elected to the all-star team of the tournament and was the tournament's top scorer with 8 goals and 12 assists in five games together with Marianne Ihalainen . Sweden won the silver medal behind Finland. In addition, Bergstrand played at the women's world championships in 1990, 1992, 1994, 1997, 2000 and 2001. At the first women's ice hockey tournament in Olympic history in 1998 in Nagano , she also represented her home country.
At the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City , she won the bronze medal in the Olympic ice hockey tournament with the Swedish national team and contributed to this success with 2 goals and 1 assist. Kristina Bergstrand has made a total of 121 international matches for the national team, scoring 43 goals.
